Flow Status Summary
Missed 1:1 call (no answer, ring timeout) draft The sequence when a 1:1 call rings unanswered until the ring timeout elapses, producing a missed call. The caller's is routed to the callee, which rings (optional ) but the user never answers. When the timeout is reached, a with reason timeout ends the call: the caller's side logs an outgoing missed/unanswered call and the callee's side logs an incoming missed call. No occurs and no media is set up. Whether the timeout fires caller-side, callee-side, or server-side, and which party emits the terminate, is uncertain and noted in open questions.
Callee rejects a 1:1 call draft The sequence when the callee actively declines an incoming 1:1 call instead of answering. The caller's is routed to the callee, which (without ever accepting) sends a carrying the call-id/call-creator and a reason (e.g. declined). The server acks and routes the rejection back to the caller, whose UI shows the call as declined, and propagates a "reject_elsewhere" terminate to the callee's other linked devices so they stop ringing. No media is ever established. Step ordering and reason tokens are a working model and hedged.
Incoming 1:1 audio call draft The happy-path sequence from the local device's perspective when it RECEIVES a 1:1 audio call and answers. A remote caller's arrives via the server; the local device acks it, optionally signals ringing with , decrypts the call/media key from the node using its Signal session, and on the user answering sends . Transport and relay-latency exchanges select the media path and SRTP audio flows over UDP. This mirrors the outgoing flow with caller/callee roles swapped; ordering and acked hops are a working model.
Outgoing 1:1 audio call draft The happy-path sequence for placing a 1:1 audio call from the local (caller) device to a remote contact that answers. The caller sends a server-routed carrying media descriptors, transport candidates, and one or more nodes wrapping the call/media key for each callee device. The server acks the offer and routes it to the callee's device(s), which may ring () and then . Once accepted, both sides derive SRTP keys from the Signal-delivered call key and media flows over UDP relays, with relay-latency and transport updates tuning the path. Step ordering and which hops are acked are a working model; confidence is hedged per step.
